Women in Green Power

Environmentally and Socially Responsible Building is a key to a better world. Constant research, outreach, innovation and knowledge fuels such development.

The Green Build International Conference and Expo provides a platform for passionate green building and sustainability leaders from all over the world to advance the mission that buildings and communities will sustain the vitality of all life within a generation.

This flagship event is taking place in India for the very first time from 2nd to 5th November this year in the city of Mumbai. The conference, GreenBuild India, is being organized by US Green Building Council and Green Business Certificate Institute and will host close to 1000 attenders.

The Greenbuild India Women in Green Power Luncheon will celebrate women who have emerged as great sustainability leaders whose work is shaping a green building revolution. It will be an environment of inspiration, mentoring and motivation. New woman leaders will be born.

Ms. Sheila’s exceptional work in the innovative design of sustainable cities and her zest for holistic sustainability is sure to resonate with the audience, creating new change makers in the crowd.

Below is the schedule of the GreenBuild India 2017

2nd to 5th November – Exhibition at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai.

2nd and 3rd November – The  Greenbuild India conference will feature two days of inspiring speakers, invaluable networking opportunities, industry showcases and workshops.

2nd November 2017  CEO’s luncheon between 1330 hrs to 1500 hrs at Westin Hotel, Goregaon,   Mumbai.   During this luncheon session, there will be having a high-level panel deliberating on the topic of the future intersections of buildings, health and technology. Mrs. Sheila Sri Prakash will be present.

About Mrs. Sheila Sri Prakash 

Sheila Sri Prakash is an internationally acclaimed Architect, Urban Designer, and Sustainability Expert, who founded Shilpa Architects Planners Designers in 1979. In July 2016, Professor Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman, The World Economic Forum has invited her to be part of the 25-member Global Future Council on the Future of Environment and Natural Resource Security. She formulated the Reciprocal Design Index, in 2013 when she was part of their Global Agenda Council for Design Innovation to establish, document and incentivize sustainable design of cities. She is widely consulted on matters of urban sustainability by several governments and is closely associated with the Chennai Smart City (board of the SPV), as an Independent Director and Urban Expert.
