Towards green design

Live sustainably in all ways.

Sustainability has become an indispensable way of life with the earth slowly being damaged by human activity. At such times, the design built around us plays a crucial role in shaping a better future.

Keeping this in mind, our Chief Designer and Director Ms. Pavitra Sriprakash spoke on the subject of Green Buildings and Environmentally Friendly Design at the URJAVARAN programme held on 7th October 2017 at the Kay Hotel in Vijaywada, Andhra Pradesh.

URJAVARAN, an annual initiative of ISHRAE (The Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers)  serves as a platform to provide awareness and share knowledge on technologies and products, which are not only efficient but also environment-friendly. Such know-how facilitates the construction of sustainable buildings.

The general topics discussed are Smart Homes, HVAC&R, Electricals, Fire & Safety, Building Automation & far reaching to High-performance Glass, Energy-efficient lightings, Water-treatment products.

During the year 2017-18, URJAVARAN spanned across 14 cities with 186 presentations attended by nearly 2000 delegates.
