ART & DESIGN: Architecture is a utilitarian art; a symphonic collaboration of minds. It sends a profound message about the nature of life. People respond involuntarily to spaces created by architects, just as an audience sways to a balladeer. Well designed spaces produce the same kind of pleasure as works of art do.
COLLABORATIVE DESIGN: Design ideas should encourage a “bottom up” basis for ideas to be debated and owned. Stakeholders would then naturally recognize the benefits of conserving heritage and culture to promote free thinking and refined living, with scarce money spent responsibly to enhance urban livability. SHILPA’s design philosophies seek to provoke decision makers, leaders and bureaucrats to work with city planners and general public to participate for finding solutions that support clean and healthy living.
