Mahindra World City is the first Special Economic Zone in Tamil Nadu of 1300 acres and developed as a multi-purpose SEZ. The SEZ houses Infosys, Wipro, BMW, Kanbay, Mastek, and other leading companies.

Shilpa Architects designed the first office at the entrance to the Mahindra World City. Its designed as a symbol welcoming one to the “city of new hope”. The form was inspired by a bird ready to take flight and soar. The glass and steel modern office ensured visual connect to the green spaces outside. The tilted glazing lets in natural light to work, while rhythmic architectural elements shades the building from heat and glare.
